This program seeks to provide you with an appreciation of information security concepts and an understanding of how they are applied using IoT and mobile device technologies.
You’ll have the chance to explore the threats posed to organisations and people and develop an understanding of the various legal and technical approaches needed to mitigate risks.

Upon successful completion, you should be able to:
Critically evaluate the role of a security policy for protecting information assets and be able to propose appropriate security policies to defend those assets based on an understanding of security concepts and their application to internet-based technologies
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the key legislation that relates to information security and how it influences the security policy of an organisation
Propose and implement effective 'defence-in-depth' solutions to mitigate the key technical internet security vulnerabilities that organisations face
Design and implement secure private networks around IoT and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
Demonstrate a sound understanding of a wide range of current research and technological advances in network security
