Should all businesses be digital?

Explore the differences between e-commerce, digital economy and digital business, and how the digital revolution is changing the way we think about business. We’ll also look at the connection between data analysis and digital marketing strategies, the importance of information systems in an organisation, and issues relating to digital security, ethics and legality.

You will have contact with a range of real-world scenarios from the digital business arena and the opportunity to develop an understanding of the key concepts and challenges that effect a digital business in today’s markets.

Zilia Iskoujina

I am Senior Lecturer in e-Business in the School of Strategy and Leadership and Associated Researcher in the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) in Coventry University.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Critically analyse various theories of digital businesses and frameworks and applications of e-commerce and marketing.
  • Define and evaluate different e-commerce and digital business models
  • Examine the challenges and opportunities of e-commerce and digital business marketing
  • Identify and analyse various issues and difficulties facing organisations adopting a digital business model
