Gain an introduction to product management
The work of a product manager is incredibly varied. It combines research, planning, problem-solving, and evaluation, in collaboration with designers, developers, and users themselves.
You’ll start the programme with an overview of end-to-end product management, covering key processes and technical terms like OKRs, MVPs, roadmaps and product metrics.
You’ll also learn about the different stakeholders you can expect to work with and the kinds of data you will use. This knowledge will provide the foundation for your product management training.
Understand the different phases of the product life cycle
Once you’ve gained an overview of product management processes, you’ll take a closer look at different phases in the product life cycle.
From market research and user testing to prototyping and product evaluation, you’ll develop the understanding you need to guide teams through each phase.
Discover the role of research in product development
Whether the aim is to identify market gaps, target audiences, or product risks, research has a crucial role to play in product development. You’ll undertake a range of research tasks training you to optimise your product for users’ needs.
You’ll learn how to gather user feedback, survey the market, explore competitor behaviour, and summarise your research findings to draw out actionable insights.
Build skills for your product management career
From start to finish, the focus of this programme will be on equipping you with practical skills for your careers. You’ll practise validating hypotheses, communicating with other stakeholders, and acting as a squad leader to drive productivity.
To reinforce what you’ve learned in each unit, you’ll complete hands-on, self-led projects stepping up in complexity as you progress. These will culminate in a final product challenge focusing on an area relating to your particular interests or professional expertise.
