This course will be of interest to anyone interested in projects as a way of organizing work and obtaining goals in an uncertain environment. The aim with this course is to learn about and understand different perspectives on planning for project success.

The course has a specific focus on business development in small and medium sized enterprises (SME), in the context of tourism. That implies, among other things, a focus on small project teams of up to ten participants and short project periods up to one year. Hence, cases and examples are especially designed for highlighting project management in small and medium-sized organizations.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand project and project management as a way of working.
  • Explain different project management concepts related to project planning and project success.
  • Interpret challenges and analyse scenarios when managing projects, and propose solutions.
  • Reflect and discuss project management aspects and scenarios within a learning community.
