This course introduces you to the teaching profession and helps you explore what it means to be a teacher. You’ll learn to identify how behaviour affects learning, explore effective strategies that promote learning, and will begin to question your own pedagogy while engaging in reflective practice.

- The importance of lesson preparation
- All aspects of planning for successful lessons – introduction, content, questioning, behaviour, pace, adapting teaching, assessment opportunities, conclusion
- What it means to be a professional, competent teacher
- Different approaches to behaviour management
- Positive and negative influences on pupil behaviour
- How teacher behaviour impacts pupil behaviour
