Currently the need to manage and minimise risk has more importance and relevance in today’s world context than ever before. You will explore the principles of risk management techniques and their application to emergency incidents.

You will also be introduced to a range of risk management principles, from time and risk critical contexts to defining risk and risk management, risk compliance and safety legislation.

Who is the course for?

This course is for any emergency management practitioners operating at or aiming to operate in the future at tactical or strategic level, in any discipline and in any country. It will introduce the key concepts and provide a look forward to an online MSc degree available on FutureLearn.
