HIST3640.3: Nazism in Power
Critically analyse how Nazis enacted their ideology
This is the third of four courses that make up the HIST3640: Fascism, War and Genocide, 1900–1945 program.
The program explores Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy in particular. It looks at the economic, social, and political forces that gave rise to fascism, fascist methods of rule, and the ideology’s drive to total warfare, particularly on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. In this context, it also looks at the debates concerning genocide (particularly the Holocaust), and at differing interpretations of fascism and its representation.
What topics will you cover?
Please see the HIST3640: Fascism, War and Genocide, 1900–1945 course handbook for more detail.
