  • Week 1

    Age-Friendly Healthcare: Redesigning Services for a Growing Elderly Population

    • Health care and development

      Taiwan's Long-Term Care 2.0 plan provides tailored care services across three levels (A, B, C) covering health promotion, home care, and disability prevention. It aims to meet elderly needs comprehensively and improve care quality

    • Develop of health Promotion

      The age-friendly city concept by WHO fosters an inclusive, accessible environment for active aging. Taiwan embraced this in 2010, expanding nationwide, integrating resources to improve elderly quality of life.

  • Week 2

    Planning and Design a Caring Community for the Elderly

    • Types of community-based long-term care services

      An elderly-friendly community integrates formal and informal care through accessible transport, safe walkways, clear signage, and green spaces, supporting older adults in aging comfortably in place and within their community.

    • Age-friendly community

      An elderly-friendly community connects care resources through accessible transport, safe walkways, clear signage, and green spaces, supporting aging in place and community living.

  • Week 3

    Bridging Culture, Food, and Care

    • Elderly Health Plate

      The importance of nutrition for the elderly, focusing on selecting healthy diets influenced by cultural backgrounds. It advises reducing high-salt and high-sugar foods while introducing diverse international recipes.

    • Intergenerational care and family support

      It also emphasizes the benefits of shared meals and social interaction for mental well-being, promoting dietary diversity and community support to enhance the nutrition and quality of life for older adults.

  • Week 4

    GYM in The Community Intergeneration Exercise Program

    • Principles of Exercise in Elderly

      This section introduces the design and implementation of exercise programs for the elderly and community projects, highlighting the benefits of exercise for the physical, cognitive, and emotional health of older adults.

    • Elderly Activity Design and Community Programs

      The content covers safety, adaptability, and chronic disease management, improving quality of life through personalized exercise plans. Community programs incorporate strength, flexibility, and balance training.

  • Week 5

    Age-Friendly Healthcare Institution

    • Age-Friendly Healthcare

      This unit focuses on the medical care issues of elderly patients and explores the importance of age-friendly healthcare institutions and the re-education of medical professionals.

    • Re-educating health professionals

      This unit focuses on the medical care issues of elderly patients and explores the importance of age-friendly healthcare institutions and the re-education of medical professionals.

  • Week 6

    Health Literacy and Communication Among Older Adults

    • Health Literacy

      This unit introduces health literacy and health literate practices, focusing on older adults. It covers their unique characteristics and communication techniques suited to their needs.

    • Communication with Older Adults

      It also explains how to use question prompts to help older adults effectively interact with healthcare providers. The aim is to eliminate barriers to health services and resources caused by health literacy limitations.
