    On this online degree, you’ll complete six units including a dissertation in creative writing. You’ll first learn the fundamentals of creative writing, before delving into its diverse disciplines.

    Throughout the programme, you’ll be challenged to hone your skills and express your creativity through writing assignments, feedback, and creative discussions.

    What skills will you learn?

    • Creative Writing

    This Master of Creative Writing programme is for graduates looking to advance their careers or fulfil a personal interest in creative writing.

    To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must hold one of the following:

    *A completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor's degree, or higher equivalent qualification with a minimum cumulative course Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.0; or

    *A completed AQF Bachelor's degree, or higher equivalent qualification with a minimum cumulative course GPA of at least 4.0 with a minimum of 2 years of employment experience which demonstrates the use of professional or creative writing skills; or

    *A minimum of 5 years of employment experience demonstrates the use of professional or creative writing skills.

    *Successful completion of CM14 Graduate Certificate of Creative Writing

    Additionally, this degree is taught in English. If English is not your first language, you’ll be required to show that you’ve completed the following in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or the United States of America:

    *A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or

    *An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) diploma-level qualification, or

    *Bachelor-level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full-time with a minimum overall GPA of 4.0

    If you can’t provide this information, you’ll need to complete an English language proficiency test and meet the following requirements for any of these approved language tests:

    *An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each subset

    *Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or more overall & a minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or more overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test);

    *Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or

    *An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.

    *Reflect upon feedback to identify and enact improvements as regards to creative writing practice.

    *Research and deploy evidence, data and information effectively.

    *Communicate cogent arguments and/ or research results in appropriate creative writing and disciplinary formats.
